Comedy Night is a multiplayer party game built around stand-up sets, heckling, and trying to survive the room’s mood. By our assessment, its best trick is the social friction: the funny part is often the awkward pause before a joke lands or dies, which makes a crowd of people the real engine of the match. The downside is obvious too, because comedy games live or die on the players in the room, and a thin group can leave the whole thing flat. In practice it feels loose, unpredictable, and a bit cruel in the way real open-mic rooms can be. It sits closer to a social experiment than to a polished joke machine, and that is either the appeal or the problem. It works best when the table wants to perform, not just to play.
