Coffin of Ashes

Coffin of Ashes suggests a horror or gothic story game more than a broad action title, and that narrower mood is probably where it lives best. By our assessment, its appeal would sit in atmosphere, grim imagery, and the slow pressure of whatever mystery or tragedy the name points toward. The honest limit is that this kind of game needs strong writing, because a coffin-shaped premise can turn thin very quickly if the script is not doing real work. In practice, games like this often move through reading, searching, and tense pauses rather than constant action. It sits closer to small narrative horror than to spectacle-driven survival games. Coffin of Ashes is the sort of title people reach for when they want dread and a story hook, not a big system to master.
