Citizen Sleeper

Citizen Sleeper stands out because it treats survival as a daily set of choices, not as a power fantasy, and that gives it a very human shape. By our assessment, the game is strongest in its writing and in the way it turns dice, time pressure, and resource management into small acts of survival on a space station. The trade-off is that the systems are more about tension and planning than about spectacle or fast feedback, so it can feel restrained if you want direct action. In practice it is a game of reading, deciding where to spend a day, and living with imperfect rolls. It sits closer to story-rich tabletop-inspired RPGs than to action-heavy sci-fi adventures. Citizen Sleeper suits players who want atmosphere and hard choices, and it leaves little room for anyone looking for twitchy combat.
