Citadel: Forged with Fire tries to fuse open-world fantasy, crafting, and wizard combat into one large sandbox, which is the sort of project players reach for when they want a magical survival-light MMO feel. By our assessment, its best feature is the promise of spell-driven building and roaming, because the idea of shaping a world with magic is more distinctive than yet another sword-and-armor loop.
