Choice of Robots is a text-first interactive novel, and it is for readers who enjoy making decisions and seeing a branching story respond. By our assessment, its real strength is the writing-and-choice structure: the player spends most of the time reading, weighing options, and shaping a robot-centered narrative rather than mastering dexterity. The downside is equally plain — if you do not like heavy reading, the whole format can feel static, because the game asks for attention to prose and consequences. In practice it plays like a long conversation with forks in it, with the interest coming from how choices change relationships and outcomes. Compared with action or strategy games, it is much quieter and more dependent on text, but also more willing to let the player steer the story. Choice of Robots is closest to an interactive book, not an arcade game.
