Cavalry Girls

Cavalry Girls mixes turn-based tactics with a light mecha-anime frame, so the draw is less grand strategy and more managing a small roster of pilots, positioning, and mission-to-mission progression. By our assessment, its appeal sits in that hybrid of squad control and character style rather than in deep tactical complexity. The downside is that the systems can feel thin once the loop is clear, and the anime presentation will do the work for you only if that look already appeals. In practice it is the sort of game where you keep an eye on formations, abilities, and upgrades, then move back to the story layer between fights. It sits nearer to compact tactics RPGs than to heavyweight strategy, with a much narrower ceiling than the genre giants. That makes it easy to approach but not endlessly chewy, and the name is mostly promising a tone and roster rather than a huge battlefield. It is a decent pick for players who want stylized tactical skirmishes and do not need a lot of systems depth.
