Cats vs Cthulhu

Cats vs Cthulhu is the kind of game name that tells you the joke before you see the rules, and that is already half the point. By our assessment, it is aimed at people who enjoy a silly horror setup, light strategy, or action built around a strong gimmick rather than solemn world-building. The appeal is obvious: cats are easy to read, Cthulhu gives the title a pulpy cosmic-horror target, and the clash promises immediate personality. The limit is just as obvious, because a premise this playful can wear thin if the mechanics do not carry it beyond the gag. In play, games like this usually work through quick sessions, readable goals, and a lot of theme-driven charm. It sits somewhere between novelty indie fare and a straightforward combat or tower-defense idea, and it lives or dies on whether the joke keeps paying off. Cats vs Cthulhu is memorable before it is deep, and that is a fair trade for this kind of thing.
