Catapult King

Catapult King is all about the pleasure of lobbing shots at structures and watching them break in a very direct way. By our assessment, that simple slingshot-and-destruction loop is exactly what makes it work for casual players. The strength is obvious: it gives each level a physical, easy-to-read target and a nice sense of impact when a shot lands well. The downside is that once the novelty of the launching wears off, repetition starts to show. In practice it is a light destruction game, more about angle and timing than planning a whole system. Catapult King sits closer to arcade puzzle action than to heavier strategy, and that keeps it lively without pretending to be something bigger.
