Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 is for people who like taking a vehicle apart piece by piece, cleaning the mess, and putting the thing back together in a workshop flow. By our assessment, it does a good job of turning bolts, parts menus, lifting, diagnosing, and replacement into the whole point rather than background noise. The limit is obvious: it is not a driving game first, and the pleasure comes from repetition, inspection, and gradual restoration. In practice it feels closer to a hands-on puzzle than to a race, with a lot of menu work and a steady rhythm of teardown and rebuild. Compared with flashier car games, it sits at the repair-bench end of the genre and asks for patience with systems, not speed on a track. The name says exactly what it is, and the rating follows from how specific that appeal is.
