CAT Interstellar

CAT Interstellar puts the appeal of a cat-themed space game ahead of realism, and that makes the joke of it land before the systems do. By our assessment, it is most interesting as a light action or adventure title for people who want charm, simple goals, and a space setting that does not ask for serious simulation thinking. The downside is that a playful premise can only carry so much; once the novelty wears off, the design has to do the rest. In practice that means a game like this lives on mood, movement, and little interactive bits rather than heavy complexity. It sits more with compact indie space adventures than with hard sci-fi or deep management games, and that is the right place for it. CAT Interstellar is for players who want a small, odd premise and a bit of fun around it, not for anyone hunting grand strategy or strict astronomy. The ceiling is the premise itself.
