Bound By Flame is a fantasy action RPG built around melee combat, spells, and dialogue choices that push you toward a demonic pact. By our assessment, it has the rough appeal of a mid-budget BioWare-style game without the same polish: there is class-based fighting, loot to sort through, and the familiar sense of making a hero while the game keeps tugging at your moral line. The downside is just as concrete, because the combat and presentation are often remembered as uneven rather than sharp, and that matters in a game that lives or dies on feel. In practice it is the sort of thing that asks for patience with clunky edges and a tolerance for rough animation.
