Book of Travels

Book of Travels is an adventure built around wandering, not winning, and that makes it unusual even among quiet indie games. By our assessment, its best idea is the mood of moving through a hand-drawn world where much of the play is about meeting people, reading small signs, and deciding where to go next without a loud quest log pushing every step. The trade-off is plain: if someone wants combat, a strong central plot, or clear efficiency, this will feel too loose and too patient. In practice it asks for attention to places, names, and routes rather than fast reflexes, and the pace can feel meditative or simply slow depending on the player. It sits closer to social exploration and tabletop-style roleplay than to action RPGs, which is exactly why it stands out. Book of Travels suits people who enjoy drifting, conversation, and a world that leaves room to get a little lost.
