Book of Demons takes the dungeon crawler and flattens it into a paper-cutout look, with cards, lanes, and simplified clicking instead of free movement. By our assessment, that unusual presentation is its main hook, and it gives the game a cleaner rhythm than many cluttered action RPGs. The downside is that the stripped-down system can feel narrow if you want the full messiness of a classic Diablo-style crawl. In practice it is a game of short, readable decisions, more about pace and layout than about twitch control. It sits closer to a streamlined tribute than to a deep loot obsession. Book of Demons is best for players who want a lighter dungeon run with a strong visual gimmick, and it stops being interesting once you want more mechanical depth.
