By our assessment, its appeal comes from the cat-and-mouse pressure of multiplayer horror, where one wrong move can give you away fast. The good part is the immediate tension: dark maps, close pursuit, and simple rules make every round readable at a glance. The limit is that this style depends heavily on the same trick, so once the novelty fades, the loop can feel thin. In practice it is a game of sound cues, careful movement, and cheap panic in the best sense of the phrase. It sits in the same space as other asymmetrical horror games, though Boo Men sounds lighter and more playful than the genre’s grim veterans.
