Bloons TD 5

Bloons TD 5 is the kind of tower defence that becomes a loop of small corrections: place dart monkeys, tack shooters, bomb towers and the rest, then watch the map and patch the gaps. By our assessment, it is one of the cleaner entries in the series because the upgrade paths are readable and the pacing stays brisk even when the screen fills with balloons. The downside is the familiar tower-defence one: once a route is solved, a lot of the tension turns into maintenance and repetition. In practice it has the steady click-and-check rhythm that genre fans know well, with a lot of maps, modes and long upgrade trees to keep track of. It sits comfortably between simpler mobile-style defence games and heavier strategy, and the in-app purchase side of the original release is part of its public reputation. The Bloons TD 5 name still fits people who like refining a setup more than improvising every minute, and the map only really opens up once you start learning each wave pattern.
