Bloody Hell

Bloody Hell sounds like a joke title, and that is part of its appeal: it is usually the kind of game that leans on fast, messy action rather than careful systems. By our assessment, that makes it easy to grasp at a glance, but it also leaves little to say if someone is looking for a deep, clearly defined formula. The name does most of the talking, so the game feels memorable before its mechanics even enter the picture. In practice that kind of project tends to live or die on tone, speed and how much chaos it can keep readable. It sits closer to light action or indie excess than to a polished, heavily explained blockbuster. Bloody Hell is the sort of thing that works best when someone wants a quick hit of attitude, not a long, measured game night.
