Blood and Bacon

Blood and Bacon is a blunt little co-op shooter that exists for people who want waves of enemies, fast movement, and a lot of absurd pig slaughter. By our assessment, the appeal is the silliness itself: it does not try to be subtle, and the joke is carried by the pace and the mess. The downside is plain enough too, because this sort of game lives or dies on repetition and on whether its crude humour lands. In practice it is the kind of shooter where aiming, running, and surviving a crowded screen matter more than story or polish. Compared with cleaner arena shooters, Blood and Bacon is rougher and smaller in ambition, but also more openly stupid in a way some players will find refreshing. It suits people who want a disposable session with friends and do not mind a shabby presentation, and it runs out of steam once the gag stops feeling new.
