Blackguards 2

Blackguards 2 speaks most clearly to players who want a tactical turn-based RPG built around positioning, abilities, and attrition rather than fast spectacle. By our assessment, its main strength is the combat grid, where careful placement and skill use matter more than flashy presentation. The limit is that this kind of game can feel slow and rigid, especially if you prefer freer exploration or a lighter touch. In practice it is the sort of RPG where every move has weight and fights are won by planning more than improvisation. Against bigger fantasy tactics games, it feels rougher and more specialized, but also more direct about what it wants. Blackguards 2 is a solid pick for people who enjoy methodical battles and do not mind a grim, ungenerous pace.
