Beholder 2 turns the first game's watch-and-report idea into a colder office power trip, which is the reason it sticks in memory. By our assessment, it is a story-heavy management game for people who like making hard calls between rules, careers, and small acts of sabotage. The strong point is the setup itself: a bureaucratic machine where every task can feel like compliance or betrayal, and where the pressure comes from choosing what to file, hide, or pass on. It is less about freeform play than about reading systems and living with the consequences of paperwork. That also is the limit: if someone wants fast tactics or open-ended simulation, it will feel boxed in. Beholder 2 sits closer to choice-driven dystopian fiction than to a broad strategy game, and the number in the title is just part of the name.
