Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is all about fleet combat, with capital ships, broadsides, torpedoes, boarding actions, and the slow problem of keeping a battle line alive under pressure. By our assessment, it is at its best when the scale clicks: the ships feel heavy, the positioning matters, and every order has to be set with a little foresight. The trade-off is that this kind of real-time strategy can be demanding to read, especially when the screen is full of weapons fire and the overlap of systems starts to pile up. In practice it plays like commanding a tiny war from above, where distance, facing, and timing matter more than fast clicking. Compared with lighter space tactics games, it is more intricate and more tied to the Warhammer naval fantasy. It will reward players who like slower, deliberate battles, and it loses some charm for anyone who wants a cleaner, more immediate skirmish.
