BOXHEAD:Immortal

BOXHEAD:Immortal is a very direct top-down zombie shooter, and it asks for little more than movement, aim, and patience with wave after wave of enemies. By our assessment, its appeal is the simple loop: survive, collect weapons, and keep the screen from filling up, which can be satisfying in short bursts. The obvious downside is sameness, because this kind of game can flatten into repetition once the novelty of the crowd and the unlocks wears off. In practice it is the sort of game where positioning matters more than story or spectacle, and the controls have to carry almost everything. Compared with bigger zombie games, it is stripped down and more arcade-like; compared with the flash-era originals, it sounds like a continuation rather than a reinvention. It is for people who want a bare-bones survival shooter and do not need much context around it.
