BEEP

BEEP is a minimalist gravity-and-thrust platform game for people who enjoy careful control more than spectacle. By our assessment, its real strength is the physical feel of moving a small robot through hazards with a jetpack and very little margin for sloppiness. The trade-off is plain: with such a stripped-down setup, every mistake is obvious, and the challenge comes from precision rather than from variety. In play it has the tense, stop-start rhythm of learning a level by feel, nudging forward, backing off, and trying again until the movement clicks. It sits closer to old-school precision platforming than to cinematic puzzle games, and it gets its value from exact handling and compact levels rather than from big systems.
