Aviary Attorney

Aviary Attorney turns courtroom back-and-forth into a bird-filled detective game, so it lands with people who like their mysteries talky and their satire obvious rather than subtle. By our assessment, its main strength is the clean comic premise: cross-examination, clue hunting, and visual jokes all pull in the same direction, and the whole thing is easy to understand at a glance. The trade-off is that this kind of game has a narrow ceiling; if the bird pun courtroom idea does not amuse, the rest has little extra weight to lean on. In practice it plays like a light adventure with conversations doing most of the work, so patience matters more than reflexes. It sits closer to a story-led indie than to a hard puzzle game, and the appeal comes from tone as much as mechanics. Aviary Attorney is for players who enjoy compact cases and a strong joke premise, and it has little reason to win over anyone wanting deep systems.
