Automachef

Automachef is all about wiring kitchens, not about hand-running a restaurant, and that makes it pleasantly specific. By our assessment, it suits players who enjoy factory-style planning, conveyor belts, timers, and the little panic of making machines serve a recipe correctly. The strength is the puzzle structure: you are laying out appliances and routes so that food moves from one step to the next without getting stuck. The downside is that this kind of game can become fussy, because a tiny layout mistake can break the whole chain. In practice it feels like adjusting a machine room until the ingredients flow the way you intended, with more diagram logic than action. Compared with broader management games, it is narrower but cleaner in its focus. It is not trying to simulate a full kitchen business, and that narrower aim is exactly why it works. The score comes from solving, not from spectacle.
