Astroflux

Astroflux leans on the kind of quick, repeatable loop that arcade-style space games live or die by. By our assessment, it should appeal to players who want straightforward action without a lot of system overhead. Its likely strength is pace: short sessions, simple goals, and the clean pressure of staying alive while the screen fills up. The trade-off is usually variety, because this sort of game has to keep the same basic move set interesting for a long time. In practice that means fast restarts, sharp attention, and a lot of reading the field rather than learning complex rules. It sits closer to classic shooter comfort than to anything story-heavy or deeply tactical. Astroflux is the kind of thing that works best when you want the game to get out of the way and let the reflexes do the talking.
