Arma 2 asks for patience because its military sandbox is built around distance, planning, and the chance that a careless move ends badly. By our assessment, that is also its main strength: it gives large-scale infantry combat a dry, serious shape that many shooters only imitate. The downside is just as clear, because the pace can feel stiff, the learning curve is steep, and the game expects attention to maps, positioning, and coordination. In practice it is less about instant action and more about reading terrain, keeping your head down, and understanding how fragile a firefight can be. Compared with arcade shooters, it is slower and harsher, but also more convincing when the system clicks. The ceiling is high if someone enjoys military realism, and low if what is wanted is quick gratification. Arma 2 is a game for people who want tension to come from procedure, not from spectacle.
