Arid

Arid is a survival game about moving through harsh, empty land with very little to lean on, so the appeal comes from hunger, thirst, shelter, and the slow pressure of staying alive. By our assessment, that makes it more about restraint and route choice than about spectacle. It can be satisfying when a survival game keeps every small decision sharp, but the dry, stripped-down setup also means there is not much room for variety if the systems do not keep unfolding. In practice this kind of game asks for patience, map sense, and a tolerance for repetition while you scavenge and manage scarce resources. It sits close to other survival sandboxes that care more about endurance than story. Good for players who like sparse survival loops; not for anyone wanting a rich campaign or constant set pieces.
