Anomaly 2

Anomaly 2 is a tower-defense game that flips the usual setup and asks you to push a squad through enemy lanes instead of only placing towers and waiting. By our assessment, that reverse-defense idea is the part that gives it its identity. It is good at making familiar tower-defense logic feel fresher, with route planning and unit timing doing most of the work. The limit is that the whole game still depends on reading lanes well, so it can feel tense in a very deliberate, puzzle-like way. In practice it is about positioning, timing, and accepting that a mistake on one stretch can snowball fast. Compared with standard tower defense, Anomaly 2 stands out for making the attacker’s route the core of the design, and the 2 in its name is simply part of the title, not a score or count.
