Anemoiapolis: Chapter 1 works because it turns exploration into unease, and that is what first-person horror and liminal-space games are often after. By our assessment, the appeal is in moving through an uncanny, empty place where orientation becomes the point of the play, not in combat or loud set pieces. That also sets the limit: if someone wants action or constant narrative explanation, this kind of game will feel sparse on purpose. In practice, it is the sort of thing where silence, layout and small visual shifts do most of the work. It sits closer to atmospheric horror like other walking-into-the-unknown games than to monster-chasing horror, and that matters a lot for expectations. The Chapter 1 in the title suggests an opening piece rather than a complete package, so it is best for players who like mood and spatial tension more than traditional challenge.
