American Conquest: Fight Back

American Conquest: Fight Back asks for the sort of patience that real-time strategy players know well: economy first, then positioning, then the long grind of battles. By our assessment, it is for people who like historical RTS with large armies and a focus on managing fronts rather than tiny unit tricks. The good part is the scale, because this kind of game gives skirmishes room to spread out and feel busy without turning into pure clicking. The downside is that older RTS design can feel stiff today, especially if someone wants cleaner controls or faster feedback. In practice it is about building, balancing resources, and trying not to let one weak line collapse the map. Compared with modern strategy games, it sits in a rougher, more old-school place, and the title itself signals that it is an expansion or continuation rather than a fresh start. It is better for players who like historical pressure and broad command than for those who want sleek systems.
