Alpha Prime

Alpha Prime is a straightforward sci-fi action game that leans on corridor shooting, weapon swapping, and the basic forward push of a linear campaign. By our assessment, its best value is in that clear, old-school shape: you always know what the next minute asks of you. The downside is equally clear, because linear shooters live or die by pace, enemy variety, and level design, and a plain setup leaves little room to hide. In practice that means a lot of moving, firing, and clearing the next room without much detour. It sits with mid-tier space shooters rather than with experimental or story-heavy games, and that makes it easy to place even when it does not stand out sharply. The ceiling here is the comfort of a familiar form, not breadth.
