Aloft

Aloft is the kind of survival game that centers on floating islands, gliding, and making a home out of scattered resources in the sky. By our assessment, the idea is immediately legible and the movement fantasy does a lot of work for it, because traversal is part of the attraction rather than a side task. The honest limit is that a game built on airy exploration can feel thin if the building, survival systems, and world variety do not keep pace. In practice, it should feel like floating from place to place, collecting, crafting, and trying to keep a base together while the setting does most of the selling. That puts Aloft near other crafting survival games, but with a lighter, more vertical pitch than the usual forest-or-wilderness setup. It works best when the sky itself remains interesting.
