Affogato

Affogato mixes card battles with a cafe management frame, so the player is not only building a deck but also handling the social and routine side of a coffee shop. By our assessment, that blend is the draw: it gives the game a quieter rhythm than a straight tactics title and lets the setting matter instead of sitting there as decoration. The trade-off is that both halves can feel lighter than fans of either genre may want, because the management is not deep sim work and the combat is not a full strategy slugfest. In practice it is the sort of game that moves between menus, conversations, and turn-based fights without rushing you. Against other deckbuilders it stands out for wanting a softer, more domestic mood rather than constant pressure. Affogato is a good fit for players who enjoy hybrid systems and a cosy frame, while people looking for either a serious cafe sim or a hard tactical card game may find the ceiling modest.
