Affected Zone Tactics

Affected Zone Tactics points straight at a tactics game, the sort of thing people reach for when they want positioning, turn-by-turn decisions, and a map that matters more than reflexes. By our assessment, its main strength would be the same one that defines good tactics games in general: making every move count because range, cover, and order of action all matter. The honest limit is also familiar, since tactical games can turn slow when the battlefield stops changing or when the rules are too dense to read quickly. In practice that means careful clicks, longer pauses between turns, and the quiet satisfaction of solving a small fight well. Against bigger strategy games, it should sit closer to focused combat puzzles than to empire building. Affected Zone Tactics sounds like a game for people who like to think in steps, not for anyone looking for instant chaos.
