Aeon Command

Aeon Command leans on a very old kind of play: building ships or units, choosing upgrades, and trying to outlast an enemy in compact sci-fi battles. By our assessment, that makes it appealing to people who like strategy with a clean, stripped-down interface rather than a lot of story or spectacle. Its good point is clarity; the trade-off is that the whole thing can feel thin if someone wants larger campaigns or more variety in the mission structure. In practice, it sounds like a game of planning, timing, and reading unit counters instead of flashy control. Compared with bigger real-time strategy titles, Aeon Command sits on the simpler, narrower end of the genre. The name suggests a grander scale than the play usually gives it, and that mismatch is part of its charm and its ceiling.
