Across the Obelisk is a party-based deckbuilding roguelike for players who like building a run around cards, synergies, and careful choices between fights. By our assessment, its real strength is how it turns a group of heroes into a shared set of moving parts, so team composition matters as much as individual cards. The trade-off is that this kind of game can be fussy: bad draws, bad decisions, or a weak setup can snowball quickly, and the menus are doing a lot of the heavy lifting. In practice it asks for planning and a willingness to read a lot of small effects. Compared with simpler card roguelikes, it sits deeper in party management and co-op-friendly structure. It rewards people who enjoy systems that click into place over time.
