Aces High III

Aces High III is a combat flight game for people who want dogfights rather than sightseeing. By our assessment, its main appeal is the aircraft handling and the sense of chasing angles in short, tense exchanges. The trade-off is that this kind of game asks for patience with controls and map awareness, and it can feel unforgiving if you want quick, low-effort action. In practice it is all about throttle, turn rate, and staying alive long enough to line up one clean pass. Compared with broader action games, it is narrower and more mechanical, which is exactly why some players like it. It is not trying to be a story-heavy war drama, and the focus stays on the flying itself.
