ANVIL is built for players who want twin-stick shooting with cooperative runs, loot drops, and a steady chase for better gear. By our assessment, it works best as a session game: you pick a build, push through arenas, and keep adjusting to whatever weapons and upgrades the run hands you. That makes it good at quick replayable bursts, but the downside is plain too, because repeated runs can start to feel samey if the loot does not land well.
