A Normal Lost Phone turns a phone screen into the whole story, and that simple trick gives it a very specific feel. By our assessment, it is strongest as a narrative puzzle built from messages, photos, contacts, and apps, because the player is not chasing action so much as reconstructing a life from fragments. The downside is that the format is intentionally contained, so once the central mystery clicks, the experience depends more on atmosphere than on mechanical variety. In practice it feels intimate, quiet, and a little nosy in the way the premise intends. It sits well above generic mobile-themed fiction because it uses the interface itself as the game space. It suits people who like story games with detective work and do not mind reading a lot on screen; action-first players will probably want something else.
