A Good Snowman Is Hard To Build

A Good Snowman Is Hard To Build is a compact puzzle game for people who enjoy thinking several moves ahead and untangling a space one step at a time. By our assessment, its best idea is also its whole joke: every snowball has to be rolled into the right size and parked in the right place before the level locks itself into a finished snowman. That makes it neat, readable, and quietly strict, because one careless push can ruin a layout you already spent a minute planning. In practice it feels calm on the surface and very exact underneath, with each screen acting like a small logic problem instead of a twitch test. The downside is that the rules are narrow, so once the trick is understood, the only real pleasure left is the sequence of placements and resets. It sits closer to a tidy Sokoban-style puzzle than to a broad adventure, and it never pretends otherwise. The score is high because the central idea is clean and well judged.
