Derive (Futures)

Derive (Futures) is the derivatives side of a crypto exchange, aimed at users who want futures rather than simple coin swaps. By our assessment, its best trait is that it speaks directly to leverage, position management, and the faster tempo of contract trading, which is what that audience actually cares about. The downside is the usual one for futures venues: the learning curve is real, and mistakes get expensive faster than on spot markets. Using it tends to feel more technical than casual, with more focus on entries, exits, and risk than on browsing assets. Against spot-only services, Derive (Futures) sits in the harder, more specialized half of the market. It makes sense for experienced traders who want contracts; everyone else will likely find the spot version easier to live with.
