dYdX (Wormhole)

dYdX (Wormhole) is a wrapped or bridged version of the dYdX token, and by our assessment that already makes it a more technical object than a plain coin. It exists for cross-chain movement and interoperability, which is useful when a token has to travel between ecosystems, but it also adds extra layers of trust and route-dependence. The benefit is convenience for users who need the asset in another chain’s environment; the cost is that bridges and wrapped assets always carry more moving parts than the original. In practice it is a plumbing token, not a headline one, and it tends to make sense only if someone specifically needs that bridge. Compared with the base dYdX token, this version is narrower and more conditional, so it sits lower in everyday clarity.
