TEAR is the kind of cryptocurrency that lives or dies on the force of its ticker, because the word itself does most of the signalling. By our assessment, that makes it memorable in a market full of forgettable names, but it does not tell a buyer much about actual utility. The usual trade-off follows: short, sharp branding on one side, and a thin public case for what the token is for on the other.
