By our assessment, the useful part is obvious: it packages a stock exposure into a blockchain token, which is easier to move inside crypto rails than a direct brokerage position. The trade-off is just as obvious, though, because tokenized stock products depend on the issuer, the wrapper and the rules around redemption rather than on the simplicity of an ordinary coin. In practice, that means more structure and more things to check before anyone treats it like a plain token. It sits between brokerage products and regular cryptocurrencies, not in the same lane as a normal payment coin.
