Syscoin is one of the better-known names among hybrid cryptocurrency projects, because it tries to bridge coin-like payments with more infrastructure-heavy blockchain features. By our assessment, that makes it more interesting than a plain payment token: the project has long been associated with scalability ideas, merchant-facing use, and a broader stack than a single transfer coin.
