SONE has the clipped, all-caps feel that many small crypto projects use when they want to look serious before anything else is known, and by our assessment that is exactly where it stops being persuasive. As a cryptocurrency, it promises the familiar package of transfers and token logic, but without a widely known back story or a clearly dominant use, the name alone does very little. The downside is simple: this kind of asset has to earn trust one step at a time, and most of the work is outside the coin itself. In practice it will be judged by the wallet, the market it trades in and whether the surrounding project has real substance. SONE belongs to the broad middle of speculative crypto names, not to the short list people reach for when they want something established.
