By our assessment, the main attraction is fandom itself: these tokens give a way to signal affiliation and sometimes sit inside the larger fan-token economy. The downside is just as plain, because the value case is usually thin outside the emotional pull of the team name. In practice it behaves less like money and more like a branded collectible with market risk attached. Against mainstream crypto, it is a much narrower product, and that narrowness is the whole point as well as the limit. It makes sense for fans of that team; for anyone looking for a serious coin, it does not.
