Nyan Heroes

Nyan Heroes looks as if it should be a game or a pop-culture project, so as a cryptocurrency it starts with a built-in mismatch that can either attract attention or leave people puzzled. By our assessment, that mismatch is the main thing going for it: the name is memorable, and in crypto that alone can matter a lot. The downside is that a catchy wrapper does not solve the usual token problem, which is that a coin still needs a reason to exist beyond the joke or the brand. In practice, it is the kind of cryptocurrency people notice first and understand later, if at all. Nyan Heroes sits much closer to the meme end of the field than to anything trying to be plain money.
