Multichain Bridged WBNB (Moonriver) is for moving BNB liquidity onto Moonriver, where people want a wrapped version that can live inside that chain’s DeFi tools. By our assessment, the strength is the same one most bridged assets aim for: a familiar token format that makes another network easier to use without pretending the original chain disappeared. The downside is the familiar bridge tax — extra complexity, extra trust in the wrapper, and another place where users have to be careful about what they hold and where they hold it. In practice it feels less like a native coin and more like a network-specific proxy that must be tracked closely. Compared with plain BNB on BNB Chain, this is clearly the more technical path. It fits cross-chain users and DeFi activity on Moonriver, but not people who want a simple, direct asset with no bridge in the middle.
