Morpho MAI is another protocol-bound dollar asset, meant for people who want MAI’s stable-value role inside Morpho rather than as a standalone token story. By our assessment, its main appeal is practical: it gives a familiar unit for lending, collateral, and other DeFi bookkeeping without asking users to think in a volatile native coin. The limit is that it inherits the usual complexity of protocol layers and whatever assumptions sit behind the asset. In use, that makes it feel like infrastructure more than a speculative object, which is exactly why some users want it. It is not trying to be a broad-purpose market coin, and it makes most sense where Morpho is already the place work happens. Outside that context it is just one more specialised wrapper.
